Abstract
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) appears as one of the most important educational practices dealing with attention to diversity in classrooms. This article will offer a glimpse of the elements that made possible its establishment, as well as a presentation of the main aspects of this practice in terms of educational research. Finally, this article will present a list of the influence of UDL in Spain, mentioning those projects and programs that include UDL to develop formative actions that will help the spreading of UDL in Spain.
