Abstract
ABSTRAK Pendidikan menjadi kunci utama kemampuan kognitif, seperti halnya kelompok pra lanjut usia atau lansia. Membangun kemampuan kognitif seperti mengenal aksara menjadi dasar dalam membangun komunikasi yang baik. Dalam hal ini, diperlukan suatu rangsangan seperti halnya Flashcard. Media ini menjadi alat alternative untuk merangsang ingatan lansia dengan menebak huruf dan kosakata di dalamnya. Metode yang dilaksanakan meliputi 3 rangkaian. Seperti; penyuluhan, tanya jawab dan pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh sebanyak 14 responden mengalami peningkatan setelah dilakukanya penelitian dan 6 responden lainya tidak mengalami peningkatan kemampuan kognitif. Hasil yang dapat disimpulkan dari kegiatan ini adalah: Flashcard menjadi alat alternative membantu para lansia dalam keadaan buta aksara. Kata Kunci: Flashcard, Buta Aksara, Lansia ABSTRACT Education is the primary key to cognitive skills, as is the case with pre-age or elderly groups. Building cognitive abilities like character recognition is the basis for building good communication. In this case, we need a stimulus like the Flashcard. These media become an alternative tool to stimulate elderly memory by guessing the letters and vocabulary in them. The method applied covers three sets. Like; discernment, questioning and training. The results obtained by 14 respondents improved after the study and the other 6 respondents did not experience any improvement in cognitive abilities.
