Abstract

Objective To investigate the change in proportions of inpatients with common respiratory diseases from 2008 to 2010.Methods To collect and screen medical information from the hospital patients between 2008 and 2010.Results During 3 years,the proportion of inpatients with COPD was gradually decreased from 23.31% in 2008 to 17.32% in 2010,whereas inpatients with respiratory tract infection was increased,with this proportion by 53.49% in 2008 and 65.41% in 2010.Respiratory tract infection was most frequently observed in preschool children.Upper respiratory tract noninfectious diseases was most frequently observed in youth or patients under 45 years old.The proportions of patient with this diseases gradually dropped with age.COPD and other of the respiratory system diseases were markedly increased beyond 75 years old.Bronchiectasis and asthma with age with the large part of them in their 55-64 years old.Conclusions The respiratory system of inpatients with respiratory tract infection,COPD and other of the respiratory system diseases.Furthermore,the proportions of inpatients with different respiratory diseases were related with age.
