Abstract
Dr. Frisén gives an overview of the quickest change-point detection methods for on-line surveillance and a number of applications in economics, medicine, and environmental monitoring. In this discussion, we address optimality criteria in change-point detection problems as well as the issue of comparison of various change-point detection procedures.
