Abstract
The authors of [1] are to be commended for the significant contribution in the area of decentralized optimal secondary control of autonomous microgrids. The proposed decentralized secondary controller allows frequency regulation, and accurate active power sharing in autonomous microgrids without the requirement of a communication network. The designed controller is based on a quadratic cost function in the form of a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) solution, and depends only on the cut-off frequency of the power calculation filter.
