Abstract

Computational methods of some pressure-drop models for a gas-liquid cyclone separator of refrigeration system are analyzed. And different pressure-drop models of pneumatic tube concerning several types of cyclone separator were calculated and verified. The result shows that for a smooth wall cyclone separator’ pressure drop, at the low concentration, the simple pressure drop model is sufficient. But when the wall is rough, it is better to use Barth and Muschelknautz model and the Stairmand model is more accurate to calculate the frictional factor.
