Abstract

A major change in land use for a specific area is generally expected to result in a major change in sediment production. But major changes in sediment production have been noted without seemingly major changes in land use. This is the case discussed by Mr. Croft in his paper dealing with the three stages of sedimentation on the lake terraces between the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake.
