Discussion of “Measured and Computed Lateral Response of a Pile Group in Sand” by Kyle M. Rollins, J. Dusty Lane, and Travis M. Gerber

Abstract

The discussers note the contribution of the authors in their full-scale field tests on a pile group, especially as the tests have allowed for both traditional and newer program software to be evaluated. Moreover, the discussers concur with the findings of Ashour et al (2004) regarding the Strain Wedge Model (SWM) and its capacity to provide various p-multipliers as output data.
