Abstract
Ocean surveys inthe California Current may expect to encounter temperatures from 3°C to 20°C, salinities from 32.50 ‰ to 34.60 ‰, and 105Δst values from 70 to 390 with depths down to 1000 m. These ranges involve four charts outlined in Figure 1 and one chart in Figure 5 of Callaway's article and subsequently published by the U. S. Navy Hydrographic Office. A single alignment chart can be prepared for the computation of the dynamic depths for the California limits.
