Abstract

In recent years, there has been heightened discussion regarding the optimal timing of probing for nasolacrimal duct obstructions. Traditional options include office probing with topical anesthesia at age 4 to 6 months or observation and medical management with probing with the patient under general anesthesia at approximately 12 months.
