Discursive articulation of generational experience as a long-term factor of trust in political institutions: problem statement

Abstract

The article raises the question of considering the historical experience of generations as a factor in the dynamics of trust in institutions. Based on the temporal nature of trust as a phenomenon, an assumption is made about the dominance of the discursive component in its structure. Linking the discursive dimension of trust to the generational historical narrative makes it possible to expand the instrumental, analytical and applied significance of research on trust in institutions for the study of political processes in general. The study of generational discourse and changes in public discourse under the influence of generational transition is illustrated by practical cases of modern history of Russia and Spain.
