Abstract

Since ventricular fibrillation exhibit dynamical properties and self-similarity, ventricular tachycardia exhibit cimtic characteristic, we apptied the method of dctrended fluctuation analysis @FA) as a measure of discriminating VT and VF by quantifying the long-range correlation properly of both cardiac rhythm. Through log-log plot of the fluctuation function F(n) versus n, we can obtain short term scaling exponent a, and long term scaling exponent a*. These two parameters of VT and VF show significant different value in different region, this can be used as andindicator ofdifferentiatingVT and VF.
