Abstract
The administrative problem discussed in this capstone project explores the hypothetical ongoing difficulties faced by a fictitious large healthcare system in Las Vegas, Nevada. Discrimination has been an ongoing and complex issue for this organization and its employees. To assist with the rectification of an otherwise inveterate problem, research was conducted into the legal and moral responsibilities of organizations, the challenges facing the workplace, selected historical discrimination experiences and various methods for discovering meaningful commonalities among a myriad of disparity. As such, it was determined that senior management which evinced servant leadership qualities by actively promoting empathy, tolerance and sensitivity would be more likely to successfully introduce a strong diversity and inclusion program to the workplace and ultimately mitigate this nefarious situation. The recommendations encompassed in this report support these findings and include the requisite rationale to implement a successful diversity and inclusion program in any organization.
