Abstract
Discriminant function analysis of the carbohydrate and nitrogen content of the gastric juice has been undertaken in 64 persons, 42 known duodenal ulcer patients and 22 controls. It has been possible to predict, with a maximum accuracy of 96.8%, whether or not a person had a duodenal ulcer.
