Abstract

A new representation of quantum mechanics involving finite difference operators is presented. The time-dependent Schrodinger wave equation is furnished as a partialdifference-differential equation. This wave equation is solved exactly for a three-dimensional oscillator. It is emphasized that this representation is exact and not a numerical approximation.
