Abstract

This is a companion paper to our previous discrete Huyens' model approach to sound wave propagation. The validity and capability of the discrete Huygens' model or transmission-line modelling for the acoustical problems are discussed with applied examples. The acoustical response in a room for which the reverberation is characterized is simulated and a time-reversal approach to sound source identification and acoustic tomography technique is proposed. Some demonstrations are presented.
