Abstract

Evaluation of an efficiency of crowd refuge is one of the indispensable factors for a planning of seawall improvement. We performed a crowd refuge simulation by tsunami at Omaehama beach, Nishinomiya city by using the crowd refuge simulator based on a lagrangian model. Effects on a crowd refuge process by improving an access route to the beach across the seawall have been investigated by comparing the present- and the planned-layout of the stairway and the slope across the seawall.
