Abstract
Community care of the mentally ill and mentally handicapped is at risk of becoming community neglect, according to a report published last week. A survey of services for the mentally disabled carried out by the National Consumer Council, and the Association of Community Health Councils for England and Wales highlights 'unacceptable' discrepancies in community services.
