Abstract
Self-assembly of 1,n′-disubstituted ferrocene cyclopeptides leads to the first model of β barrels, a ubiquitous structural motif in proteins. The β-barrel model has eight β strands arranged almost parallel to the axis of the channel with an internal pore diameter of 8 Å.
