Abstract

The article is based on the first analysis of the archives of the Ukrainian Press Bureau in London (another name is the Ukrainian Bureau in London), yet unknown to experts in Ukraine and found by the author during his recent scholarly internship in the UK.It reveals the circumstances under which the Polish Institute in London acquired these Ukrainian archives after the Second World War; describes the institution itself as a non-governmental organization of the Polish community in the diaspora and its mission in the capital of Great Britain. The author makes the first-ever attempt to estimate the volume of the archival collection and describe the thematic structure of the main folders.
