Abstract

Introduction: Zika virus (ZIKV) epidemics in Colombia was established in October of 2015, reaching its highest prevalence in February of 2016. To date, only one case of discordant twin compromise has been notified to the surveillance system. Objectives: To describe discordant twin compromise in a dichorionic-diamniotic (DCDA) pregnancy related to prenatal ZIKV exposure. Methods: During ZIKV epidemics, the surveillance system identified a case of central nervous system (CNS) malformation in an infant born to a twin pregnancy.
