Abstract

Goldstein showed [1] that nonstationary two-dimensional laminar boundary layer equations with a given rather large pressure gradient dP/dX have a continuous solution only up to the point Xs of zero friction. At this point the solution has a singularity of the type (Xs-X)1/2 and, what is significant, it does not exist downward.
