Abstract

Based on stability and liquid crystallinity of graphene oxide (GO) aqueous dispersion, GO pseudo-photonic crystal film that has uniform color can be prepared from GO aqueous dispersion by vacuum filtration method. Then, transferring GO pseudo-photonic crystal film onto the surface of silicone rubber (SR) through pressure transfer method, we can obtain color GO coated silicone rubber (GO/SR) which further extend the application of GO pseudo-photonic crystal film on a flexible substrate. Moreover, we also find that polar solvent can diffuse into and evaporate out of the GO layers to change the d-spacing of GO film, and achieve discoloration response to polar solvent on these colored GO/SR.
