Abstract
In Tilletiaria anomala the aerial ballistospores, developed on very short sterigmata arising from prostrate hyphae on agar, are set free singly or in bundles of 2–5 as in Tilletiopsis spp. Evidence is presented indicating that the bundles, like single ballistospores, are actively discharged to a distance of up to 300 μm.
