Abstract

Nearly everyone who throws a disc associates the activity with fun. Over the years, multiple disc games and activities have been invented, combining fun and learning. These are games that many individuals are likely to continue playing long after they have left school and are worthy of being included in a contemporary physical education program. The purpose of the article is to present some of these popular disc activities in a logical sequence of instruction moving from learning the basics to playing a game requiring skill and tactical awareness. Also included is a rationale of why disc games should be included in today's physical education programs.
