Abstract

The present study highlights the experience of hazards in the library and examined strategies adopted in the pre, during and after the occurrence of natural, manmade or technical disasters. The study also explored which types of problems are faced by libraries after happened of disasters. For the study, a survey research method was adopted and questionnaires have used tools for getting primary data. The findings of the study demonstrated libraries do not have a disaster management plan in written because of insufficient staff, unskillful staff, less funds and insufficient availability of disaster management tools in the library.
