Abstract

Disaggregation of nanosized powders synthesized in liquid media is an urgent task of modern industry. On the example of nanoboehmite suspensions obtained by hydrothermal treatment of various precursors, there have been proposed new methods of disaggregation by introducing ammonium citrate or oxalate or microcrystalline cellulose into the suspension or by bubbling CO2 through it. Subsequent heat treatment of the modified boehmite powder gives a γ-Al2O3 nanopowder, and its technical characteristics are reported.
