Abstract

The author responds to critique that the Guidelines for education in the Methodist Church would be based on Marxist analysis. For this, he relates concerning the locus of Christian education at the time, its pros and cons, and the Marxist categories, supposedly used by it. He concludes that the document is based on liberal theories.
