Abstract

The essay intends to demystify the idea of ideology in Law. Therefore, it investigates this concept in the best light of legal science, based on the Brazilian Constitution of 1988. Furthermore, it analyzes some movements that, it seems to us, deprecate what should be understood as constitutional ideology. In the end, it is concluded that the Brazilian State should aspire to achieve the goals enshrined in its Constitution.
