Abstract

Enological (wine) tourism is a subspecies of gastronomic tourism. The main purpose of wine tourism is to visit the enterprise of the wine-growing and winemaking industry: a vineyard, a separate winery or a wine farm with various purposes.The model of excursion wine tourism stands out among other models, since it is universal. It includes visits to wineries, acquaintance with nature, historical and artistic heritage, and even active rest. This model is widespread in all countries of the world where wine-making is developed.A special case of the excursion model of wine tourism is special-themed (tasting), which means acquaintance of wine tourists with specific types, styles, samples of wines. The organization of special-themed wine tourism is quite complicated because of the variety of types of wines, often it requires the participation of a specialist with a special education.
