Abstract

The statistical performance of a 225m sampling linear array in h.f. direction finding is presented. Several methods of processing the sampled data are employed to investigate various aspects of system performance. The equivalence of time and space sampling in reducing the variance in the estimated direction of arrival is deduced from the results.
