Abstract

Directed Transfer Function is not influenced by volume conduction-inexpedient pre-processing should be avoided.

Highlights

  • The problem of brain connectivity has been gaining more and more interest in the last years

  • This fact directed the interest of the scientific community to the multivariate methods of connectivity estimation

  • Among the pre-processing methods results obtained for Constant Attention used before DTF application the most Test (Blinowska et al, 2010) and workcommon approach is to project the signals ing memory paradigm (Brzezicka et al, into the source space in order to eliminate 2010; Blinowska et al, 2013)

Summary

Introduction

The problem of brain connectivity has been gaining more and more interest in the last years. This fact directed the interest of the scientific community to the multivariate methods of connectivity estimation. Among these estimators widely applied are: Directed Transfer Function (Kaminski and Blinowska, 1991) and Partial Directed Coherence (Baccala and Sameshima, 2001) based on the Multivariate Autoregressive Model (MVAR).
