Abstract

Recently in Science, Huang and co-workers applied directed evolution for the improvement of a non-heme iron oxidase to catalyze the enantioselective radical-relay azidation of N-fluoroamide substrates. They demonstrated the synthetic applicability by using the improved variant in a one-pot, two-step chemoenzymatic synthesis of a highly functionalized triazole product.
