Abstract

CMV infection can cause morbidity and mortality particularly in solid organ and haematological transplant patients. Prolonged antiviral prophylaxis or treatment increases risk for CMV antiviral resistance. We aimed to develop a CMV WGS approach using capture-probe hybridisation technology for high sensitivity detection of resistance mutations from plasma.
