Abstract

fd DNA can act as a messenger DNA in an in vitro system in the absence of neomycin B. At low magnesium ion concentrations (7 m m), formylmethionyl-threonine, formylmethionyl-valine, formylmethionyl-isoleucine and two unknown components are formed. At higher magnesium ion concentrations (11 m m), more peptides are produced.
