Abstract

In a recent issue of Nature, Hou, Luo and Shima presented a transformative approach for synthesizing alkyl amines, utilizing a trititanium polyhydride framework for the direct hydroamination of alkenes with atmospheric dinitrogen. This method not only bypasses traditional ammonia-dependent processes but also introduces a novel strategy for C–N bond formation under mild conditions. This advancement holds great promise for significant progress in sustainable chemical manufacturing.
