Abstract

Gum acacia stabilized palladium nanoparticles (GA-Pd nanoparticles) were prepared and applied to a reductive amination reaction. The GA-Pd nanoparticles catalyzed the direct one-pot reductive amination of aldehydes 2 with nitroarenes 1 under atmospheric pressure of hydrogen to give the corresponding amines 3 in up to 96% yield (eq. 2, 18 examples).
