Abstract
Theory and general design data for a two-dimensional slide-action alignment chart giving a direct reading of the Planck distribution function are presented. Accuracy and convenient size are complementary; a “pocket” model covering 200 to 10 000 deg K yields one or two place accuracy in spectral density.
