Abstract

The behavior of vortices in superconductors, especially how vortices are depinned to start moving is closely related to practical applications of superconductors. However, it has hitherto been difficult to directly observe the motion of vortices especially in high- T c superconductors. In the present experiments, the vortex motion peculiar to high- T c superconductors was observed by improving the observation method using Lorentz electron microscopy in our 300 kV field-emission transmission electron microscope.
