Abstract

The technique of middle-point matching accompanied by an iterative application of suitable correction formulas for trial values of corresponding parameters is considered in integrating a two-channel Schr\"odinger equation. In the case of the deuteron wave equations, when tensor forces are taken into account, a correction formula for improving an initial energy value is used in obtaining the binding energy and the corresponding wave functions, the formula giving quadratic convergence. The extension of the method to nucleon-nucleon scattering states is straightforward and the variable equantities are, in that case, the parameters of a phenomenological potential.
