Abstract
The dosimetric leaf gap (DLG) is a critical parameter for accurate delivery of intensity modulated radiation therapy using sliding window (SW) and volumetric modulated arc therapy. It has been recently reported that the two-dimensional DLG (2D-DLG) can be obtained with integrated images using electric portal imaging devise (EPID), and with direct measurement using one-dimensional diode array detector. We assume that direct measurement of the 2D-DLG using EPID will be more useful in that it will enable a decrease in time for measurement.
