Abstract

K1.38Mg0.69Sn1.31S4 is prepared by solid state reaction of Sn, Mg, K2S, and S (silica tube, 800 °C, 6 h, 80% yield) as well as hydrothermally from aqueous mixtures of Sn, K2CO3, Mg, and S (autoclave, 220 °C, 4 h, 76% yield).
