Abstract
We discuss the thin film electronics applications of single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) networks, especially in the field of flexible electronics. We present novel method - direct dry printing developed by Canatu - for SWCNT direct, dry deposition from the reactor at ambient temperature and pressure to manufacture transparent, flexible thin film conductors and field effect transistors (TFT). Flexible SWCNT-PET conducting films show transparency-sheet resistance properties surpassing those of ITO-PET films [1]. SWCNT network TFTs on both silicon as well as polymeric substrates show mobilities of 35 cm2/Vs and on/off ratio of 5 * 106. We also fabricated logic circuits on flexible substrates [3]. Also, we developed free standing SWCNT films for various applications, including nanoparticle filter, gas flow meter and heater, laser pulsing, loadspeaker and electrochemical sensing [2].
