Abstract
We have investigated the fine structure on Ti L3 threshold of clean polycrystalline Ti surface by three spectroscopies. The Ti L3 soft X-ray appearance potential spectrum was subtracted from the disappearance potential spectrum. The difference spectrum shows a surface local density of states above Fermi level. The result is in good agreement with the calculation for the first layer of Ti(0001) thin film.
