Abstract

Summarizing a talk given at the Bogolyubov 2019 conference, we review recent results concerning Dirac operators with a singular interaction supported by a smooth compact surface. We recall a suitable mathematical technique, the theory of quasi boundary triples, and show that it enables to find spectral and scattering properties of such operators. We also mention the non-relativistic limit and relations of the considered operator class to bag models of hadrons.
