Abstract

The influence of excitations of the n1el1(p)n2el2(p)-na1(s)n3el3 type on the structure of the electronic spectra of the core na1(s) levels of fifth- and seventh-row elements in hydrides has been investigated. The single-channel approximation of the one-center method was used for the MO calculation. The strong influence of the dipole polarization of the electron orbitals on the spectra of the na1(s) levels of fifth- and seventh-row elements in compounds which have free localized states of d symmetry has been established.
