Abstract
1. The dipole moments and Kerr constants of certain sulfolenes and epoxysulfolanes were determined, and the anisotropy of the polarizability of the sulfone group was calculated. 2. The five-membered ring in 3,4-epoxysulfolanes is nonplanar; the degree of its bending depends on the structure of the molecule.
