Abstract

Wagner: A 65-year-old woman is referred to you by a cataract surgeon. Three weeks after phacoemulsification with intraocular lens placement, she is experiencing horizontal double vision at distance fixation. Reading is fine, but she has double vision while watching TV or driving. Her visual acuity is 20/20 in each eye and she is not sure when she first experienced diplopia, but it certainly has become more noticeable following surgery. How would you evaluate this patient?
