Abstract

There has been much debate recently for and against making nursing an all-graduate profession and, yes, in some respects, if it would make politicians take the nursing profession more seriously, then it can only be a good thing. But by giving prospective nurses the choice of diploma or degree entry, a wider range of people with many different attributes will apply for nursing courses.
