Abstract

Summary form only given. We have demonstrated a diode-pumped all-in-one (cavity-dumped, Q-switched, and mode-locked) Nd:YAG laser with active prelase stabilization. Stable high-energy pulses of 108 ps in duration were produced at a high repetition rate from a system that is both simple and compact. Using this approach, we anticipate that scaling to higher pulse energies and a shorter pulse duration is possible and is ultimately limited only by physical damage thresholds and the onset of nonlinear effects.
